Timing
Corrections
During dance programs I buzz on the strong beat of one to reinforce the correct
music timing with the skater.
Spin Corrections
During spins I buzz the skater after the correct rotation count so the skater
can change position or come out of a spin.
Corrections
for Mohawks and Three Turns
Prior to practicing these turns, I inform the student that when I buzz them
a change in direction is to occur. I use this method because I often have
trouble with students turning too soon, therefore, performing the turn incorrectly.
General
Corrections
Many other issues come up during a normal lesson. I use the Silent Coach,
in addition to the lesson to correct some of the following issues: bending
their knees, dropping their head, having bad posture, and toe pushing.
